Creating a workflow Viewing and editing a workflow

On the Dashboard, you can create, view, and edit workflows.

Creating a workflow

Creating a workflow is a two-step process: first, you enter the input details (you can choose a predefined template or enter information from scratch) and then set the triggers and actions to generate output.

  1. On the Dashboard, select Create workflow. The New workflow dialog opens.
  2. Select Create new workflow (configure the nodes yourself) or Create from template (the nodes are pre-selected).
  • Create a new workflow: Enter a name and, optionally, a description for the workflow. Select the input source and at least one action for the assets.
  • Create from template: Enter a name and, optionally, a description for the workflow. Select a template from the Template drop-down list.
  1. Select Create. The newly created workflow opens on the Building space page. By default, the workflow is disabled.
  2. Enter information in the nodes.
  3. Select Get assets to select a pool and and search for assets, or, if you are working with an FTP group, select Get external assets to select an FTP group.
  4. Select Delete assets to delete the assets.

Viewing and editing a workflow

Selecting View workflow directs you to the building space where you can see and edit the workflow details.

Currently, you can only edit a workflow when it is disabled.

Note: Workflows that are enabled cannot be edited; they must be disabled first. Disabled a workflow while it is running will immediately halt the process and the workflow will not complete its current operation.
