Upgrading MongoDB to version 4.4.30

A recently disclosed security issue affects certain MongoDB versions and could allow unauthorized access to sensitive data if left unpatched. Upgrading MongoDB is a crucial step to maintaining a secure, protected environment.

  • If you are using Fotoware On-premises Feature Release 19, we recommend upgrading your MongoDB installation to the latest supported version as soon as possible. The upgrade process is described below.

  • If you are using a later version of Fotoware On-premises, we recommend upgrading your MongoDB server as soon as possible.

Upgrading MongoDB to version 4.4.30

1. Go to Download MongoDB Community Server | MongoDB.
2. Download and extract the MongoDB Community Server version 4.4.30 zip file.

  1. Stop FotoWeb.
  2. Stop the FotoWeb MongoDB Server service explicitly.
  3. Copy the content of the extracted MongoDB bin folder.
  4. Paste the content into the FotoWeb MongoDB folder: C:\Program Files (x86)\FotoWare\FotoWeb\MongoDB
  5. Optionally, copy the content of the extracted MongoDB root folder and paste it into the FotoWeb MongoDB folder.
  6. Restart the FotoWeb server.
