Fotoware Veloz - February 2026 update
Deployment
This release is being gradually deployed and will be available on all tenants soon.
Improvements
-
Easier to confirm guardian status in consent forms
The I am signing as a guardian checkbox is now more prominent and visually separated from the text, making it easier for guardians to see and use.
-
More flexible contact options in consent requests
Consent configuration now supports adding a customizable contact link (URL + label), and consent request emails can be configured to display either a contact link, a contact email, or both.
-
Smoother consent email editing
When customizing consent email headers and text, password managers such as 1Password no longer incorrectly offer to fill those fields.
-
Simplified SAML group mapping
Mapping SAML groups to FotoWeb groups is now handled centrally in the single sign-on settings, reducing duplicate configuration in individual group settings. As a result of this change, the SAML group name field was removed from the General tab on the group settings page. For more information, see Managing groups using SAML - Fotoware.
-
Improved large document processing
The processing of large documents, such as PDFs, has been improved to reduce bottlenecks and improve performance.
-
Improved management of PS files
PS (PostScript) files are now treated as vector graphics, and there is better support for HEIC/HEIF formats.
Fixed issues
The following issues are fixed in this release;
-
Consent steps and messages behave correctly
The Your details step in the consent flow no longer shows as completed before any information is entered, and the web experience when declining consent now consistently explains why personal data is collected in all relevant steps. -
Managing consent from the grid works with limited permissions
Users who only have browse and consent‑related permissions can once again select assets from the grid and use the Manage consent action directly, instead of having to open each asset’s details. -
Declined consent photos are kept when decisions change
If a signee declines a consent form with a photo and later changes their decision, the photo is now correctly shown again in the consent details and signing view. -
Safer administration account handling
The API for deleting users no longer allows the site’s controlling admin account to be removed, preventing scenarios where all users, including the owner, are accidentally deleted. -
None license is now supported in the user API
The user management API now accepts None as a valid license level, allowing administrators and integrations to remove a user’s license via API as intended. -
More reliable background jobs
The FotoWeb Background Service now starts reliably on Windows without timing out, ensuring that background jobs, such as exports and password reset processing, can run as expected. -
Editing dates and times is stable
Adjusting the time component of a date field in batch edit or extended search no longer clears the entire date, so metadata edits are preserved as you fine‑tune timestamps. -
Videos no longer appear squashed
Certain video files that previously looked flattened in the player now display with the correct aspect ratio during playback. -
SSO sign‑ins tolerate long URLs
Very long single sign‑on (SSO) sign-in URLs, such as those sometimes generated by Entra ID, no longer cause runtime errors in the FotoWeb API and instead show a normal SSO success or error page. -
