Improvements
Identity Service (IDS) – Front-end refresh
This release introduces a major update to the FotoWare Identity Service (IDS), focusing on improved security, a smoother sign-in experience, and a modernized interface.

Security improvements
These changes reduce exposure to security risks in sign-in and account management pages, helping meet organizational security and compliance requirements.-
jQuery removed
The jQuery dependency has been fully removed, reducing the attack surface and eliminating known vulnerabilities. -
Bootstrap upgraded to version 5
Upgraded from the end-of-life version 3 to the current version, resolving vulnerabilities that were no longer being patched.

Improved sign-in experience
When SSO (single sign-on) is enabled, the email/password option is now less prominent. Users are guided toward the correct SSO flow, reducing confusion and support requests.

Login, registration, and profile management pages now use modern UI components aligned with the Fotoware Alto design. -
Content cleanup
The outdated About Alto page has been removed, and external links have been reviewed and updated.

Improved account approval messaging
In an upcoming release, messages shown to users awaiting administrator approval will be clearer. Also, organizations will be able to configure a custom contact email for user guidance.
Fixed issues
The following issues are fixed in this release:

PSD rendering issue
Some PSD files with transparency lost their transparent background when converted to PNG. This affected certain 16-bit PSD files.
Transparency is now preserved correctly during PSD-to-PNG conversion, improving reliability in image processing workflows. - Improved stability of metadata extraction service to reduce instances where the service could become unresponsive.
